Dan Senn will present an evening of his experimental film and music from over the past 26 years. Senn is an interdisciplinary artist who has presented kinetic sound installations, his acoustic and electronic music, and both his documentary and experimental films throughout Europe, Australia, and the United States. He is the director of the annual Echofluxx Media Festival held each May in Prague.
New work called „Taking Sides“ is a video for 2 eggs and 2 discarded Perrier bottles with sounds derived from his own acoustic instruments. Other works include his 1995 classic work “Gandydancer” made from chance footage of a drug addict on the very night he dies and then the morning he is discovered by police, a film accompanied by Dan playing a bass violin with all the strings tuned to E-natural. Another work filmed in Prague called “Zelená Chyba” captures a small beetle as it crawls over the a lunar-like surface surrounded by films of blowing and buzzing garden vegetables. All the works will be presented in fixed-media form.
